Back in 2007, I went to Europe with my mom and my brother to celebrate my graduation from high school. On that trip, we went to Paris, Chamonix, London, Salisbury, and Cambridge. This time around, I had just graduated from college with my bachelor's in math, so I decided to reward myself with another trip to Europe. I didn't want to travel completely alone, so I did another Contiki tour. The name of the tour I did was European Highlights.

The tour started in London. First I took a short flight from Cleveland to Montreal, which was pretty uneventful. Everything in the Montreal airport was in French, so I felt like it was preparing me for France. Then came the longer (a little under seven hours) flight from Montreal to London. The food was decent (some kind of chicken with chocolate mousse for dessert, and then some not-so-great banana bread in the morning). The flight took place overnight, so I was pretty much relying on being able to sleep. I did get a little bit, but they kept turning the lights on and making announcements and stuff every two seconds. Plus the guy sitting next to me kept jiggling his leg the whole time. Not the most pleasant flight, but at least it was shorter than the one to Australia.
